Can't recommend the chassis used in this client build enough. The CM 690 II Advanced is an incredible case. It's cheap, well-built, packed with features, looks great, and is very very easy to use. As far as mid-tower ATX cases go, this one was by far the easiest case I have ever had to do cable management for by a long shot.

terrific cable management for a non modular corsair power supply i am truly impressed. I was considering the Antec 300, but I've heard that can be too tight and mushy with lack of cable management and air moviement, so I'll shell out 30 bucks more and get this one instead when i decide to build a new pc in the nearest future.

@mda40000 Afraid I'd actually have to agree with you on this one. The 460 is a great card if you are savvy enough to cool it correctly and OC the hell out of it. Keep forgetting how expensive 5830's are proportionally. My 4890's cost me $300 together.

@marshallowns Sounds good, should be one kick ass machine. Those cards have roughly the same performance as a 4890--and my two 4890's in CF still rock this world. Together they are faster than a GTX 480, so you should be good to go.

@cliffst3rz Actually it is I promise. It's only a different box because this exact unit was made before MadCatz bought up Saitek. They are still the same keyboards. The website that I bought it from (gameshark) listed this exact keyboard as a V.7.

@Fencefeet Yea it is weird, I believe this problem is in the SST software and drivers itself and not the keyboard (the BSOD even points to a Saitek driver). It really hinders the full potential of this keyboard. Optimally you can take these 12 programmable 'C-Keys' and efficiently program them for up to 42 macros on the same profile by suing shift keys. As an example I was using C1-C6 as the macro keys and C7-C12 as shift keys.

The only major problem I ran into with this keyboard was when I tried to do some fancy programming macros with shift-keys (using multiple shift-keys). The problem being is when you hit the shift-keys it is an instant BSOD, I seen this problem in Win7x64 and WinXPx86. I have contacted Saitek's Tech Support via e-mail about this issue but have never heard a response back from them on it. Other than this problem i have not seen a Saitek keyboard that was not designed with quality and durability.

I assume this is rubberdome? Not mechanical? Like all the piece of shit gaming keyboards? Don't get me wrong, I have a G15 as well, but I just bought a Cherry keyboard with mechanical switches (1 actual switch per key, rather than a rubber mat with nipples that get depressed) and it's WORLD of difference! You'll type twice as fast and, depending on switch type, game better too! How are you liking the Rat mouse? Just got a steelseries Xai which I'm very happy with...

@Spacenstein Hahah my bad. Yeah the G19 is an incredible keyboard--just crazy expensive. That's really the only reason I don't like their stuff. I usually tend to stray away from companies that charge premiums because they know they can (Apple, Sony, etc.). For the most part their stuff is good, but I just don't think it's nearly good enough to justify the price over similarly performing competition.

@Fencefeet I don't really like either 'sink, bought a Coolermaster Hyper 212 for mine to o'c & 'cuz I'm not fond of the single-point clips many other 'sinks use for AM3... so I suppose it's a good thing to me that the lesser 'sink keeps the price low, though people can buy a Phenom X2 II 550 OEM w/o 'sink for about $20 less.

And no no don't get me wrong, I didn't EXPECT a better heatsink, I was just hoping. I wasn't at all disappointed with AMD or anything though because it's such a great deal regardless. Nice i was unaware of that. I was actually planning on either getting the 555 for my next build and hoping i get lucky enough to unlock the cores or hold out for the 975 that is suppose to come out some time this year. Also i am getting the new asus 890GX board so no problem unlocking the extra cores if i do go with the 555. the board actually has a switch on it that will automatically unlock any cores that are disabled. no bios fidgetting or anything

Yes I was luckily, but not using that mobo. It requires a southbridge chip of SB710 or higher and that board uses an SB700. Yes that's correct it is the same clock speed as the 955; but the physical specifications of the 555 are actually the same as that of the 965, which shares the same architectural base. Both processors have 758 million transistors packed into a 258mm2 die. You can see this when you bench the 555 (unlocked), 955, and 965 against each other--the 555 actually beats the 955.

great video. ive been educating myself on the intricacies of pc building after having many issues with my Striker II Extreme that a friend built for me. I recently added an H50 which was surprisingly easy aside from the time it takes to remove the board, reconnect all the wires and manage them for airflow. Dropped my temps by 15c. My NB runs really hot and was thinking about reapplying some new paste. Can this be done without taking the entire board out?

Been getting ready to do some overclocking on my asus p5e and I wanted to put some arctic 5 on NB heatsink etc but I have no experience with that so this video has been helpful. I managed to get the heatsink off with your hairdrier trick. I cleaned the chipsets and heatsink good. I have a question though, the other parts of the heatsink, not south or northbridge but the other parts dont have paste its some sort of sticky pad. While I be able to reapply that or do I need to get new ones? Thanks.

sorry this response is so late but to answer your question all that you have to do is get a blow dryer and heat up the heatsink to the point where the thermal pad underneath is gooey. after that just pull the heatsink off then after separating the northbridge and heatsink just use 100% rubbing alcohol and a toothbrush to clean off the remaining residue from both surfaces hope that helps :]
