@GuitarJerk13 he says in the video that he uses the AMD GPU clock tool, not the ATI overclock utility because it doesnt go as high and you cant adjust the voltage.

I can't understand how you got the clock speeds to 850 MHz and 1200 MHz. I got a similar card (Sapphire 5850 Vapor-X 1GB GDDR5) but when I tried to overclock it, using the ATI overdrive utility, I only got 765 MHz for the core and 1050 MHz for the memory. Did you use some other kind of overclockingfeature and did you increase the voltage?

Hey PcWizKid, I have a 5850 and if you just overclock it without voltage increase is it stable? Because online I only see with like 800mhz core clock. Great vid!

@BKsMassive Yeah right. The Toxic model is pretty much useless unless you plan on gaming at like 2560x1600. Just because it has an extra gig of memory does not make it faster, or even remotely able to "wipe the floor" with the Diamond model. That extra gig of memory will really only help in a multi-monitor setup at ultra high resolutions. For people gaming at 1920x1080 or lower, which is a vast majority, they should stick with 1 GB

Was the 850 MHz clock and 1200 MHz memory the absolute max you could push the card to? I'm thinking about using this card in my summer build and would like to know if the overclock you achieved is typical or if it was the maximum overclock for your particular card. I know every card overclocks differently but it would be nice to be able to mirror the results you got. Also, I'm new to overclocking. Was the voltage increase relatively large or small?

how did u get so high score in heaven benchmark...i've got the same card and i5 750, 2gb ddr3 but the score avg fps is only 15fps....

Having the Fan at 100% constant is overkill, too loud and also wears down the fan. The temps stay well within limits and not high at 45%, and its not as loud.

how come you never have your fan speed at 100% i keep seeing 45% that would reduce your temp by a lot
