@TheAmazingGetstabbed Probably around a $1000 depending on sales and what parts are involved. You might end up saving a lot more if you purchase parts during a big sale - Like last year, I got great discounts during black friday and again this year for Memorial Day.

Of course before doing this you should always wear thick socks and moonwalk across the carpet.

I've never built a pc before. I am familiar with the hardware and what is required to build a pc. so basically i have the knowledge but not the experience. theres a website i was gonna buy off of, but i thought lemme compare prices. so I did and if i build it myself i save over $400. so should i just build it myself?

I would recommend a minimum Corsair 400 watt PSU for clean power. For the HD, skip on Seagate/Maxtor and go with a Western Digital for quiet operation and long life. Lastly, be sure to pick up one of the LG SATA dvd-multi drives, They're much quieter and more reliable than Pioneer is now and cost a little less than the Asus. As for things like video cards and ram, to each their own.
